Cat6A (Augmented Category 6) CMP-rated plenum ethernet cable required by code for installation in air-handling spaces — above drop ceilings and below raised access floors. Supports 10/100/1000/10G Base-T (IEEE 802.3) at up to 750MHz. CMP/FT6 is the highest indoor fire rating — substitutes for CMR or lower anywhere in the building.
FEP (Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene) insulation is the key difference from riser cable: FEP produces significantly less toxic smoke and meets the stricter flame spread requirements of plenum air-handling spaces. 23AWG solid bare copper conductors.
