Cat6A (Augmented Category 6) CMP-rated plenum ethernet cable required by code for installation in air-handling spaces — above drop ceilings and below raised access floors where HVAC circulates. Supports 10/100/1000/10G Base-T (IEEE 802.3) at up to 750MHz. CMP is the highest indoor fire rating and substitutes for CMR or lower anywhere in the building.
FEP (Fluorinated Ethylene Propylene) insulation is the key difference from riser cable. FEP produces significantly less toxic smoke and meets the stricter flame spread requirements that FR-PVC alone cannot satisfy in plenum air-handling spaces. 23AWG solid bare copper conductors. Spline separator between pairs reduces NEXT crosstalk. Rip cord for clean jacket removal. FR-PVC outer jacket rated CMP. OD 0.3543 in., 52 lbs per 1000ft reel.
