Install CMP-rated control wiring in plenum spaces at the lowest weight and cost in the lineup with this 18AWG unshielded stranded bare copper control cable. Rated CMP and CL2P, it is approved for air-handling spaces above suspended ceilings, below raised floors, and in risers and walls in residential and commercial buildings — the highest indoor fire safety rating available for control cable.
The unshielded design removes the added cost and weight of the shield layer — at just 19 lbs per 1,000ft, this is the lightest control cable in the CMP lineup, making it easier to handle and pull in conduit-dense plenum installations. It is the right choice for security, audio, and HVAC control wiring in clean environments without significant EMI from power lines, motors, or lighting ballasts. A built-in ripcord enables fast, clean jacket removal at every termination point.
