Run OFC speaker wire to outdoor speakers on the patio, deck, or backyard with this 16AWG 2-conductor direct burial cable. UV resistant FR-PVC jacket and paper tape inner layer protect against moisture, UV radiation, and temperature extremes from -20°C to +70°C in underground and exposed outdoor installations. Direct burial rated for installation without conduit.
16AWG is the right gauge for outdoor speaker runs up to 50 feet to 8-ohm speakers — the correct choice for secondary outdoor audio zones, deck speakers, background music zones near the amplifier, and landscape speakers where the speaker-to-source distance is short. The thinnest and lightest OFC direct burial speaker wire in the lineup at 0.201 in. OD and 16 lbs per 500ft, it is easier to bury through soil and landscape areas than the 14AWG version. For runs over 50ft or 4-ohm outdoor speakers, use the 14AWG direct burial version.
