FPLR-rated 14AWG shielded fire alarm cable for vertical riser runs in shafts, stairwells, and between floors in commercial, residential, and industrial fire alarm systems. FPLR is the riser rating under NEC Article 760 — required for vertical runs where cable must resist fire propagation between floors. FPLR can substitute for FPL anywhere in the building.
14AWG is the heaviest gauge in the standard fire alarm cable range — lowest resistance, highest current capacity, and longest circuit reach available. Aluminum foil shield and drain wire block EMI from motors, HVAC, lighting, and electrical equipment — the right choice for demanding NAC circuits in large commercial facilities where both signal integrity and maximum reach are required.
