Description
FPLR-rated fire alarm cable for vertical riser runs in shafts, stairwells, and between floors in commercial, residential, and industrial fire alarm systems. FPLR is the riser rating under NEC Article 760 — required for vertical runs where cable must resist fire propagation between floors. FPLR can substitute for FPL anywhere in the building.
16AWG offers lower resistance than 18AWG — supporting longer notification appliance circuit (NAC) runs and higher device loads for horns, strobes, and horn/strobes without excessive voltage drop. The standard choice when 18AWG would limit circuit distance or device count. Solid bare copper conductors, PVC insulation and flame-retardant PVC jacket. Rip cord for fast jacket removal. Red jacket for instant fire alarm identification. UL Listed FPLR, tested to UL 1424 and UL 1666. OD: 0.252 in. Weight: 30 lbs per 1000ft.
