FPLR-rated 4-conductor shielded fire alarm cable for vertical riser runs in shafts, stairwells, and between floors in commercial, residential, and industrial fire alarm systems. FPLR is the riser rating under NEC Article 760 — required for vertical runs where cable must resist fire propagation between floors. FPLR can substitute for FPL anywhere in the building.
4-conductor construction (Black/Red/Yellow/Blue) supports Class A supervisory circuits — a closed loop configuration that allows the fire alarm system to continue operating and pinpoint the fault even if one segment of the cable is broken or shorted. Aluminum foil shield and drain wire block EMI from motors, HVAC, lighting, and electrical equipment — the right choice for large buildings and installations where signal integrity is critical.
