Connect desktop speakers, bookshelf speakers, and nearby audio components to an AV receiver or amplifier with this 16AWG 2-conductor speaker wire in a clear PVC jacket. The transparent jacket keeps cable runs visually unobtrusive along baseboards, shelf edges, and behind audio equipment — the thinnest and most flexible clear jacket speaker wire option, ideal for short exposed runs in living rooms, home offices, and desktop setups.
16AWG handles runs up to 50 feet to 8-ohm speakers with lower resistance than 18AWG, making it the right choice for desktop and near-field speaker applications where the speaker is within arm's reach of the amplifier or receiver. One conductor is stripe-marked for polarity identification — connect the stripe consistently to positive (+) at both the amplifier and speaker. Each spool is PE wrapped to prevent kinking in storage. For in-wall installation, choose the CL2-rated version of this wire.
Note: This cable does not carry a CL2 or CL3 fire-safety rating and is not approved for in-wall installation. For permanent in-wall runs in residential buildings, choose the CL2-rated version.
