14/2 vs 16/2 Speaker Wire: Which Should You Choose?
Learn the differences between 14/2 and 16/2 speaker wire, including distance, power handling, installation flexibility, and ideal applications.
Decorator-style wall plate inserts that snap into any standard single-gang decorator wall plate frame. Choose the right insert for each location: keystone for data and A/V connections, flexible opening for cable pass-through, or blank to cover unused openings cleanly.
Keystone inserts (1, 2, 3, and 4-port) accept any standard keystone jack in each opening — RJ45 Cat5e/Cat6 for data, HDMI couplers for video, RG6 coaxial for cable TV and satellite, banana plug connectors for speaker wire, and BNC for CCTV. Mix different keystone types on the same insert. Keystones snap in and out tool-free.
The Flexible Opening insert has a scored center that opens when a cable is pressed through and closes back around it. Routes HDMI, power, or any low-voltage cable through the wall. Requires a low-voltage mounting bracket (sold separately).
The Blank insert covers unused decorator openings with a smooth solid white face. Remove and replace with a keystone insert when needed.
