This Cat5e CMR-rated riser ethernet cable is built for permanent in-wall and vertical between-floor installations in residential and commercial buildings. CMR/FT4 is approved for riser and in-wall runs, supporting Gigabit Ethernet to 328 feet with 350MHz and PoE/PoE+.
24AWG solid bare copper meets NEC Section 800.179, which requires solid annealed copper (not copper-clad aluminum) for communications cable — a code requirement, not just a quality choice. HDPE insulation adds corrosion resistance standard PVC doesn't offer. Backward compatible with Cat5 and Cat3 hardware. A ripcord and footage markings make pulls fast and accurate.
