Rated CMP and CL2P, it is approved for air-handling spaces above suspended ceilings, below raised floors, and in risers and walls in residential and commercial buildings — the highest indoor fire safety rating that covers every indoor installation environment.
The 16AWG gauge provides more current capacity and lower voltage drop over long runs than 18AWG — the right choice for powered security devices, audio amplifiers, door strikes, and access control equipment where maintaining the correct voltage at the end of a long run matters. The unshielded design is ideal for clean installations in environments without significant EMI sources. A built-in ripcord enables fast, clean jacket removal at every termination point.
