  • 𝐌𝐀𝐗 𝐋𝐎𝐀𝐃 𝐌𝐀𝐗 𝐃𝐈𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄 14AWG has the lowest resistance in the fire alarm range — for the longest NAC runs and device counts where 16AWG or 18AWG produce voltage drop.

Description

FPLR-rated 4-conductor shielded fire alarm cable for vertical riser runs between floors. FPLR is the riser rating under NEC Article 760, required for circuits running vertically through more than 1 floor. Substitutes for FPL; FPLP substitutes for FPLR.

4-conductor construction (Black/Red/Yellow/Blue) provides the two wire pairs a Class A supervisory circuit needs to keep operating and pinpoint a fault even if one segment breaks or shorts. Note: NFPA 72 12.3 requires the outgoing and return legs of a true Class A circuit to be routed separately; confirm design and AHJ requirements first. 14AWG is the heaviest fire alarm gauge; AL-foil shield with drain wire blocks EMI from motors and panels.

Standards: C(UL) Listed FPLR · UL 1424 · UL 1666 · RoHS Compliant
