Description

FPLR-rated fire alarm cable for vertical riser runs in shafts, stairwells, and between floors. FPLR is the riser rating under NEC Article 760 — required wherever fire alarm circuits run vertically through more than one floor. FPLR substitutes for FPL; FPLP substitutes for FPLR.

14AWG is the heaviest gauge in the standard fire alarm range — lowest resistance, highest current capacity, and longest circuit reach available. The right choice for demanding Class B notification appliance circuits (NAC) wiring horns, strobes, and horn/strobes with the highest device counts and longest runs, where 16AWG or 18AWG would produce unacceptable voltage drop.
