FPLR-rated fire alarm cable for vertical riser runs in shafts, stairwells, and between floors. FPLR is the riser rating under NEC Article 760 — required wherever fire alarm circuits run vertically through more than one floor. FPLR substitutes for FPL; FPLP substitutes for FPLR.
Unshielded construction is the code-compliant standard for most fire alarm circuits — lightweight, flexible, and fast to route, pull, and terminate. 18AWG is the lightest gauge in this range, ideal for shorter runs where conduit fill and flexibility matter.
