Description
FPLR-rated 4-conductor fire alarm cable for riser runs between floors. FPLR is the riser rating under NEC Article 760, required for circuits running through more than 1 floor. Substitutes for FPL; FPLP substitutes for FPLR.
4-conductor construction (Black/Red/Yellow/Blue) provides the two wire pairs a Class A supervisory circuit needs to keep operating and pinpoint a fault if a segment breaks or shorts. Note: NFPA 72 12.3 requires outgoing and return legs of a true Class A circuit routed separately; confirm design and AHJ requirements first. 18AWG unshielded construction is the lightest, most flexible option in this range — easy to route and terminate in shorter riser runs.
