PROTECTS THE CABLE-TO-CONNECTOR JUNCTION The boot covers the back of the crimped RJ45 plug and absorbs bending and pulling stress at the cable-to-connector junction. Protects from snags, dust, and oxidation that shorten cable life.
-
SLIDE ON BEFORE CRIMPING – INSTALLS IN SECONDS Slide the boot onto the cable before crimping. After crimping, slide it forward over the connector. The ribbed flexible tail bends with the cable to prevent sharp kinks at the connector base. No tools needed.
-
CLIP PROTECTOR BUMP – PREVENTS BROKEN LOCKING TABS The raised bump on the top side covers the RJ45 locking tab and prevents it from catching on cable management rings, rack guides, and panel edges — the most common cause of broken connector tabs.
-
LABEL WINDOW FOR CABLE IDENTIFICATION A label window on the top accepts a small label strip for identifying cable function, destination, or network segment without permanent markers or zip-ties.
-
6 COLORS – COLOR-CODE YOUR NETWORK CABLES Available in Blue, Black, Green, Ivory, White, and Yellow. Match boot color to network segment, device type, or patch panel row for instant visual identification. 50 boots per pack.
Description
Description
RJ45 strain relief boots that slide onto an Ethernet cable before crimping the RJ45 connector. After crimping, the boot slides forward to cover the back of the plug and protect the cable-to-connector junction — the most stress-prone point on any custom-made Ethernet cable — from snags, bending, pulling, dust, and oxidation.
Installation: slide the boot onto the unprepared cable end with the wider opening facing the end of the cable. After crimping the RJ45 plug, slide the boot forward over the back of the connector. The ribbed flexible tail bends with the cable to prevent sharp bends at the connector base. No tools required.
The raised clip protector bump on the top side covers the RJ45 locking tab and prevents it from catching on cable management rings, rack guides, and panel edges during routine adds, moves, and changes — the most common cause of broken connector tabs. A label window on the top accepts a small label strip for cable identification without zip-ties or permanent markers.
Compatible with Cat5, Cat5e, and Cat6 cables and standard RJ45 plugs. Available in 6 colors — Blue, Black, Green, Ivory, White, and Yellow — for color-coded identification of cable function, device type, or network segment. 50 boots per pack.
