CL2 rated for permanent in-wall installation in residential buildings.
18AWG handles in-wall runs up to 20 feet to 8-ohm speakers at low to moderate power — TV soundbar satellites, hallway or kitchen fill speakers, rear surround channels a few feet behind seating, and supplemental speakers in small spaces. For runs beyond 20 feet, choose 16AWG, 14AWG, or 12AWG to avoid resistance-related performance loss. Color-coded insulation makes polarity identification fast and reliable.
